The police, hardly known for being sympathetic to antifa, appear to have challenged the claim that the so-called "left-wing demonstrator" was the shooter.

The usual suspects, including the ever-unreliable Ian Miles Cheong, have started running with the conservative-shot-by-left-wing demonstrator narrative. The police have only publicly provided minimal information.
I called @DenverPolice to ask about discrepancy
The PIO said "the only information that is correct is information that we have out on Twitter" and that that was the only information that had been released.
Cheong's narrative cites the Denver Police as the source of information

Anyway, the "antifa member shot a right-wing protester narrative" has already started spreading like wildfire, truth be damned.
Including from Mr. "reliable reporter" who, it should be noted, tweeted this after the Denver Post article had been altered.
There are other questions here. Why would the Post publish information it wasn't confident in? Was the Post convinced that its information was incorrect by new info? If so, why wouldn't it specify that info? Did it alter the story at the behest of police?
Ah, well if we're doing this again, I'm gonna sign off and yell at some street signs or something https://mobile.twitter.com/KyleClark/status/1315081724993384448
