In 2019, UNICEF reported that 1 of every 5 out of school child in the world lives in Nigeria and puts the number of out of school children in Nigeria at 13.2 million children.
That was of a concern to the education community and hence we convocated a dialogue at tackling this crisis and presenting “the LBI Model”. Please find attached report of this dialogue; this document has been widely circulated.
The Pandemic: Covid-19 has greatly impacted the education sector, changing the narratives, and creating a new normal in every department of human engagement.
This year the dialogue will be centered around improving quality education delivery to every Nigerian Child, with focus on the out of school child, the street child and the almajiri child.
During the 2020 LBI Stakeholders Forum Critical questions around our main discussion: “Covid-19 Pandemic: The Way Forward for Out of School Children” and several other relevant discussions centered around improving access to education for all Nigerian children would be…
…discussed by relevant education stakeholders.
