Some thoughts before bed on World Mental Health Day
1. Don’t listen to rumours about medication - they’re like trip advisor reviews, you only hear the bad ones.
2. After trauma animals shake to get rid of stress. MOVE YOUR BODY. Even if its just a walk to get out the house. 1/
3. If you start being mean to yourself, panicking, getting too in your head, try to notice it in three seconds and think about three things around you instead (hard on a bad day, I know).
4. Therapy is expensive but it’s the best money you can spend on yourself dahhhling. 2/
5. Mental health is a class issue. If you can afford to donate to mental health charities do! Lot’s of people who need support don’t get it. And VOTE for the parties that give a shit.
6. If you feel like a burden to your friends/family (you’re not), look for support groups.3/
6. A) they’re free B) the people in them become your weird/mad/brilliant extended family.
7. Mental pain is like physical pain, it hurts for a bit and then it doesn’t. 4/
8. Lot’s of people REALLY love you. 5/
