Many of the diner’s patrons pointed out that Biden was a clear partisan of the POUM in their struggle for control of Barcelona against the CNT and that clearly demonstrated that Biden’s sympathies lay more with traditional leftism rather than anarchy.

Others in the York PA diner stated that if Biden were so committed to international communism, he would have supported the Comintern dominated International Brigades.

While ignoring his scrapple and two, retired plumber, Joe No Last Name, was adamant that Biden cared for more for indigenous representation than fealty to an international communist organization.

But Flo, the waitress, countered that indigenous movements for liberation, while pure in origin and motivation, often became dominated by communist superpowers like China and the USSR. She pointed to Chinese support for the North Vietnamese.

Alas, there was no consensus to be found at the Diner. But the patrons were unified in rejecting claims that issues like COVID, the economy and health care were what matters to voters and what really mattered was Biden’s obvious sympathy for the FMLN.
