Writing #2yeon in Queen of Mars - a thread.

I've always heard of other (professional) writers that sometimes characters tend to have a mind of their own when you are writing them.

For 2yeon specifically, this has been the case for me.
I usually plan out a story completely and then just follow the roadmap. It's a good roadmap, a well-structured one with drama and fun stuff and all that. Then I start writing.
In the beginning, 2yeon always follow the roadmap, but then in the mid part of my stories, they usually develop a mind of their own.
It's very fun to write, but a lot of stuff happens and a story that I planned to have around 25k usually gets way more, because Jeongyeon wants to visit her burned down house in Housekeeper or Qom!Nayeon wants more fluff scenes.
It does make the story better, at least I think this, it is a loooot of writing.

This has happened too in the 5th chapter of Queen of Mars. I had projected it at 16k words but it seems they want to spend more time with each other.
Today, I have handwritten 16 (only DIN A5, but still) pages in a café where I just wanted to have a cup and then leave to the additional 12k words I already have for this chapter. My hand is falling off. QoM!Nayeon doesn't care.
I will continue today till the inspiration is gone, because when it's flowing, you should follow the flow. That being said, I have high hopes that the fifth and last chapter of "Queen of Mars" will be posted either next week or the week after.
Thank you for listening to this writer's pathetic excuse for why she is so slow. Thank you too for coming to my TED talk.
