White Supremacy in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴

*A THREAD*
This is what white supremacy looks like from an American context would you believe a similar structure exists in a predominantly black and mulatto nation?
Dominican Republic is controlled by oligarchic families, corrupt politicians, big business, and foreign interests.
These white Dominicans run the control of major exports (think coffee, gold, sugar, cocoa) and head practically every industry you can think of in the country. Some of their families are wealthy and of colonial stock while others are Dominican descendants of European immigrants.
