didn't really delve into this in theory doc (I THINK?) because the basis was shaky, but after 6 i think the story's moving closer and closer to a theory that "takano miyo scripted all of this to create the greatest occult mystery ever" and she used rules x, y, and z to do it. ..?

who could possibly benefit from such a cruel tale of death and destruction? because the story has veered so strongly into Literal Narrative Device lane, the most obvious answer i can think of is, of course, you--the dear viewers at home (haha do u get my pun)

i meant to sleep around midnight but once the war to save satoko started i could not stop... and ended up reading for like 8 hours straight... the politics.. the debates... the emotions... hands down this has been my favorite part of the whole series so far

everything tying together to resolve the most difficult problem posed in the story and in a way that could only have been appreciated by the context that's been established in previous arcs is DAAAAAAMN GOOOOOOOOD FOOOOOOOOOD

i can't tell yet if this is another case of vlr where i hated the end bc i didn't pay enough attention but ended up loving it on a re-read.... because i paid a ton of attention to this and was even right on some things but i still hate this setup. theres. no way around that

this fits thematically and even a lot of the themes foreshadowed this and i think (beyond the emotional aspect of it) arc 7 was a big setup for "govt bad officials have their own interests at heart and political connections and motives affect everything". However: This is balls.

im big r07 defense force but i can't... i have no big desire to defend those last few chapters (?? how long was that last part it was massive) in execution or in content... im kind of... in shock. i think i just have not recovered yet from the exposition sequences. takano was ok

i love how saikoroshi reframes everything and explores the main cast's negatives and how they could end up hurting each other if they weren't dedicated friends from the beginning... not pleasant but the kaleidoscope of what makes each character who they are is so nice to view
