there are certain market events that provide an opportunity to make life changing money on a single trade in an extremely short period of time.

they are few, dont happen often and less than 1% of participants are able to capitalize on them fully.
the other 99% who didnt, often make the mistake of becoming fixated on finding "the next", fully prepared to deploy all their capital at a moments notice into due to pre-rationalizing that it should happen again and they will "be ready"
by falling into this trap you will most likely miss the majority of "just good trade" opportunties that build the skillset you will use for the rest of your career.
the numbing of your own success occurs when you start thinking of "just good trades" as losing because youre fixated on winning the game in one single move.
after a recent run like the market has seen you start to expect those same results to continue and when they dont come, your instinct is to push harder and bruteforce the results.
when in actuality the market is providing good trade opps every day, hell every hour where you can squeeze 5-10% out of almost anything right now if youre looking for 5-10%
the fact is if you consistently trade those "just good" opportunities over time you will eventually equal the gains of nailing "the next"
learn how to survive first, then focus on making a living so your longevity in this game doesnt depend on "the next"
this concludes my one serious trading thread for the year.
