Ok but are we done being sensitive and overly defensive about our skill levels now? Can we talk about how fucked up that was that ya'll dog piled someone for some harmless advice?
Skill level does not have anything to do with whether your art is bad or not, no one is exempt from having to practice or having areas that you suck in as an artist.
That woman saying it in a "mean" way didn't warrant that response either, half of ya'll get on here and say things in the most shitty/rude ways to spread info/context about shitty people(myself included), so why get so mad about how someone comes across now lmao
Now what some of ya'll are NOT finna do, is hop in this thread and talk down to the BIPOC people voicing their concerns over my statement and that other's ladies statement. They're very real and very valid concerns, please don't act like they aren't!
I don't think any of what anyone has said in response to my statement is wrong, I just think there's space to say that what I'm saying is right too. Simple as that
It's giving the kid in art class who gets waayyyy too defensive over class critiques and spends 40minutes explaining their shortcomings rather than just saying "yeah, this is a difficult skill for me, I need more practice. Do you guys have any tips for that?"
