I walked the creek for hours. I saw no beavers, or even mink for that matter. But it was glorious. Grateful for #EtobicokeCreek (little Etobicoke Creek seen here, a few hundred metres from where it meets the main creek). Missing the folks, family this year. So this helps.

Hello, water striders!
Meeting of seasons in the most beautiful way... like snowdrops & crocuses popping up through snow, asters & goldenrod fade as the maples blaze and drop their leaves, setting the hills afire. Warm and humid today, too, so the air feels summery but smells deeply of fall. #phenology
I’m sorry, did someone say something? I couldn’t hear it over the AMAZING COLOURS by the tiny waterfall on Little Etobicoke.
Joking aside, I’m right below a very busy 6-lane road (Queensway) and can’t hear it because of the water. This is bliss. Smells even better. #phenology

All around, industrial plants and retail plazas, busy roads and power lines. Down in the valley - life carries on quietly. Beautiful.

Oh @LostRiversTO I’m happy to share/show this magical spot, downstream from where we walked high above the creek in Centennial Park.
I somehow broke my thread... whoops! https://twitter.com/laurelfynes/status/1315013380479082496
