Corey Crawford media availability upcoming

Crawford: “I was pretty devastated to get the news about not returning to Chicago. That’s all I’ve known in my career...It turned into excitement. I talked to (NJ) the most. It’s an up and coming team.”

more CC: “I’ve never really had to be that vocal in Chicago with the leaders in our group so I’ll have to get more used to that...I just want to help Jersey win hockey games.”

Crawford says there wasn’t that much negotiations with Chicago. “We just didn’t go back and forth at all. It just ended there. There’s not much more I can say. It was a tough phone call...For me, it was pretty emotional after that talking to some of the players.” #Blackhawks

On the Devils: “It’s a group that I feel really confident in going to and help them win games. It’s an underrated team.”

Crawford said he spoke to a few teams yesterday. Said he talked to NJ throughout the day and it seemed like the best fit / team most interested in him.
