I'd like to say some final words about The Avengers game. The worst part about this game is that it didn't have to be this way. I think everyone wanted an Arkham-style game out of The Avengers. That would've been cool. I probably would've bought that.
The Avengers deserves a game that makes all of the characters feel unique. It should have a large world to explore, many different enemies to fight, and a story that rivals the ones from the movies and comics.
Unfortunately, that is far from what we got. Instead, we got a $60 Warframe clone that did not take advantage of the character's unique abilities. The villains were all copy-paste re-skins, and the story wasn't very impressive.
Can The Avengers recover? Possibly. It has a very low amount of players already, and I'm not holding my breath.

However, games have recovered from failure before. Who knows? Avengers might pull a miracle.
The Avengers needed more playable characters at launch. The amount that it had might have been acceptable back in 2012, but now, after the MCU, the amount of characters it had isn't going to cut it.

Where are all of these characters?
You don't have to tell me that they're going to add these characters in later. I know they're going to. I'm just saying they should've been there at launch.
The level design needs more variety. When I played the beta, I felt like I was fighting the same enemies over and over. The levels were also very linear. It got boring and repetitive very quickly.
Also, every character in the game felt the same to me with very minor differences. It shouldn't have been this way. All of the characters should play very differently from each other. Their powers should set them apart.
Finally, why on Earth was this a $60 game? This should've been free-to-play. The microtransactions are ridiculous, and there is not enough content on offer for it to be worth $60 in its current state.
I think The Avengers deserves a better video game. I may not be the biggest fan of their movies, but I would rather watch those again than play their game one more time.
As of writing this thread, Avengers is sitting at just under 2,000 players on Steam.

This is not a healthy player-base, especially for a $60 Triple-A game that released just over a month ago. I don't know what the console numbers are, but I'd assume they're similar.
It would be nice to see this game get back on its feet, but I have doubts that it will. Unless they fix the issues that I mentioned in my Tweets above, I doubt I will ever play it again.

In fact, I think it would be better if they re-build the game from scratch.
