Alrighty, Kacchako shippers and Dekulissa shippers (I love both sm!!) I have something for you! Especially you Dekulissa shippers out there!

In case you haven’t been on Twitter lately, @AngelfaceUravi1 tweeted this out for the world: We’re all still screaming

Now, the interview in question is not a Horikoshi interview The interview was about Deku’s Japanese VA addressing a question to him about who he thinks Deku will get with in the series. His answer is hopeful, surprising, and is slowly turning out to be true

Yamashita reads the manga The man knows what’s going on currently, and I want to bring attention to the time of this interview. It was when season three was happening.

During the span of three seasons it appeared that most likely Deku and Uraraka were going to get together. (I personally went into My Hero shipping kacchako, but this isn’t about me )

THEN we get the scene of Uraraka deciding to focus more on being a hero and the movie

Yamashita says that in the movie he feels that Melissa climbed all the way to the top of the list for who will end up with Deku romantically — even higher than Ochako.

And really, he’s not wrong.

Deku knew Melissa for two hours, TWO HOURS, and within those two hours they were so comfortable around the other and MY GOD THE CHEMISTRY

My all time favorite scene was when she gently took his hand into her’s and traced over his scars — IT WAS SO INTIMATE AND SOFT!!! And he was so intrigued! Not scrunching and tensing up like he usually does around other females

Alright, alright, let’s get back talking about the interview

So it’s turning out to be true that Melissa appeared more after the movie. While she may not be in the main series yet, there’s a chance we’ll get to see her eventually in the future after everything has calmed down

In Chapter 3 of the team up missions, we DO get to see Melissa and Mei in a sort of battle to see who can develop Deku the best design and gear. For those of you who don’t know, Melissa is a quirkless genius

We also get this Dekulissa crumb from that chapter — they’re so cute

So Yamashita’s not wrong. Again, there’s a good chance we’ll see Melissa again as the story develops more since she’s appeared in a omake and even had her own special spin off Remember: My Hero Academia is FAR from done

Now moving on to that final part of the interview

I really don’t think there will be a battle between Melissa and Ochako Do you know why? In the movie, Melissa and Uraraka get along pretty well. At first, Uraraka was jealous that they were hanging out together, but towards the end they’re fine and no bad feelings

AND it seems where we currently are in the manga, the shift is not even focused on Deku and Uraraka.

Uraraka’s focusing on being a hero, and Deku is more focused on becoming the greatest hero more than anyone else (minus Bakugou)

It seems that Hori is letting Uraraka and Deku (more so Uraraka) find their individual goals and achieve them.

FOR THE KACCHAKO SHIPPERS:

And it seems in doing that, Hori has made Bakugou and Uraraka interact more in the manga

Even in her story of the light novel, the argument a lot of people like to say for kacchako is that he was bullying/abusing her (which we knew wasn’t true, but people STILL don’t get it).

Ochako defends Katsuki twice, the first that their fight wasn’t bullying.

The second about his language and if he didn’t say harsh words then he wouldn’t be Bakugou (the love and acceptance gets me every time ) She even goes on to explain that Bakugou has a good side

And YES, the light novels are canon

And to top all that off, kacchako fam, THINK about all the hints and crumbs we already have

If Deku and Uraraka were going to be the main ship then why does Hori even bother with Bakugou and Uraraka??

Hori is setting up things beautifully

Even though Yamashita doesn’t talk about kacchako, it still gives us shippers hope that our ship will happen.

You guys already know how I feel: I definitely think that kacchako will be canon

And it seems that Melissa has the potential to appear in the future

She’s very smart, and knows how to work with technology and designing support items for hero’s already.

And again, I don’t think her and Uraraka will hold any hostility towards one another. Melissa never did anyways. Where Uraraka’s development is at, I don’t see her getting+

Jealous either if Deku and Melissa were together and hung out.

Ochako’s grown from that — besides, we’re not even focused on ships right now in the manga. We just want these kids alive

Still, in light of this, we know that Yamashita is NOT Horikoshi, but what we also get from this interview is that Yamashita is an observant individual.

He see’s potential in Deku and Melissa or else he wouldn’t have said what he said.

This interview question is also curious to me because why would they ask that question if people didn’t think anything special were going to happen between Melissa and Deku It was the final question of the interview no less...

My final thoughts on this?

Yamashita I don’t think knows anything about who will end up with who at the end of the series, but it’s proving to be true that Melissa may appear in the future of the manga, again, once things are settled.

Why else would she be given a spin off story and appear in a special chapter? She’s a special character herself

At the end of the day, it’s all up to Hori, but we kacchako shippers know that Horikoshi is handling our ship with care and connecting things with them — as for Dekulissa, I definitely see things from Yamashita’s POV (minus the Melissa vs Ochako) They have great potential!

Here’s a final question:

Is Two Hero’s even canon?

Here’s a final answer: Yes

All this shipping goodness and development between Deku and Melissa is canon — not to mention THAT HUGE kacchako moment as well!

I’m rooting for these two ships! Both already have so much development and I love it!!

We just have to wait and see what happens, but this just rekindled my hope for dekulissa!
