Do you do #LocalHistory?
Some of you know I’ve just joined the British Association for Local History (BALH) as an Outreach Committee member. I’ll be after insights from time to time, starting with: Do you do Local History, and why? [Replies in single-tweet form below!]

I’m especially keen to hear if you’re not a local historian per se, do you do #LocalHistory as part of your academic research, or family history. Maybe you’ve never even thought of yourself as doing local history until right now?

I for example wouldn’t call myself a ‘Local Historian’ but I love the local histories of places I’ve lived, places I study for work and research for academia. To me, local history is a superb angle to look at the world as someone who would describe myself as a social historian.
