The safe return of fans can only happen with safe infrastructure to get them there and back. The stadiums could be the safest place ever but getting 1000's of people in and out at the same time is the struggle
This is why I'm all for the charging of streaming live events. If you were willing to pay for a ticket why not pay to watch at home? At least the only muppets around you are the ones you are related to
£15 to watch a football match that isnt on TV anyway is a bargain. After you have paid for the original ticket, travel, food, drink etc you will end up saving money. Fans have spent the last 10 years complaining it's too expensive and now it's cheap
Travel is now free as you dont have to move. You can get food and drink from your local takeaway and convenience shop for a fraction of the price you would spend at a venue. So you save money and put money into your local community, wheres the problem?
I agree that season ticket holders should get some form of subsidy but overall deal could be the one that saves football as we know it. TV companies/SIS will stop it happening in horse racing but they should see the light and let the tracks stream their own races
Can imagine a price point of around £10 per meeting would be right for racing. Fans will moan but have you ever wanted to go to 3 meetings on the same day? All could be brought to you via Chrome and you save on the extortionate drink and food prices
Only a few weeks ago we were allowed to mix households in the garden with the summer weather. You could have select mates round for beers, snacks and racing for an initial outlay of a tenner. As mentioned earlier drinks and snacks are about 40% cheaper at your local shop
This thread will gain 0 traction and get no responses but my feelings on the current sport scenario can only be fixed by using the technology we already have. Most people now use Teams and Zoom as if we have always had them so why not streaming on our Smart TVs?
