Since it’s #WorldMentalHealthDay , I’d like to take the opportunity to give BBs some advice

Please bear in mind that this thread is done in good faith with no personal call outs intended. I hope you’ll take the words of a simple psychology student to heart and think about them ❤️
1. Be the better person. There is no need for you to stoop down to the level of those who wronged you in the past. You can’t change people but you can change the way you react and behave
2. Let go of your anger. This emotion only culminates stress and prevents you from being your best self. It may not be easy but learning to recognise anger and knowing what to do with it is the first step
3. Learn to forgive. Humans make mistakes all the time and it takes a lot of courage to say sorry. Although you are under no obligation to accept an apology, be willing to give second chances and educate
4. Refrain from spiteful and condescending behaviour. This also applies even when you’re on the right side

“The minute you think you have the right to belittle others because you think you’re better than them is the same minute you’ve proven you’re worse” — Joanne Alcayaga
5. Be willing to listen. It’s the most basic form of respect you can give. You’ll be surprised to know what sort of wonders small conversations carry. The quieter you become, the more you can hear
