Putting On A Brave Face

A poem wrote by this guy at 4.30am this morning in hope it will inspire at least one person suffering from mental health issues to speak up and live a happy healthy life. Be kind. Retweets aprreciated for obvious reasons.

Putting on a brave face is where we all begin, Smiling for the ones you love to hide the pain within.

You start to feel invisible like a burden with a curse, Then comes the overthinking which only makes it worse.
Every day's a battle and it grinds you to the core, it all just feels so endless like a sea without a shore.

The darkness is overwhelming and your no longer in control, An escape is on the agenda which digs a deeper hole.
You turn to quick releases to help numb all the pain, youre on a path of self destruction, You no longer feel sane.

Your demons have taken over, you've let yourself get caught, Your'e trapped between a hard place and a suicidal thought.
Times are hard, life is tough, We all have storms to weather, Better days arent far away but we need to stick together.

Put your arm around your brother, Put your arm around your sister, Tell him that you appreciate him and tell her that youve missed her.
We're all afraid to open up, We're all afraid to speak, We have to take that step though it doesnt make you weak.

You're stronger than you'll ever know, You're worth more than you think, You'll make it out the deep end, its time to rise not sink.
You're going to make a difference, You're going to see the light, You'll take care of your demons they wont put up a fight.

Speaking from expericence, Please hear what I say, You dont have to put a brave face on, its okay to not be okay ❤
