Please guys follow the #EndSARS and #EndSarsNow hashtags and retweet everything you see from Nigerians.. I’d be a hypocrite to talk about police brutality in the U.K. and America but not call it out in my own country of origin.
SARS are violent and brutal, they have been on a path of wanton destruction for some time now and they target the future generation of Nigeria
If you’re a young Nigerian man and dress well or are just out and about they can accuse you of being a “yahoo-yahoo” boy which is the slang for fraudster.. they then proceed to falsely arrest you and if you can’t afford to bribe your way out they beat and torture
Everyday young men who protest to being harassed or try to assert their rights wins up being killed brutally by #sars #SARSkill young women too, indiscriminately and have been known to rape and torture women too
For years police corruption has been a thing in Nigeria but this state sanctioned thuggery has now escalated to the point where #sars is more feared in Nigeria than boko haram. #saraareterrorists
#SarsMustGo because they are targeting and basically wiping out the lifeblood of Nigeria and it’s high time the world did something about it if our government won’t
