It is Babyloss Awareness Week #BLAW. A week to raise awareness about the fact that 15 babies die every day in the UK (before, during or shortly after birth) and to break the taboo about talking about it...Which incidentally I make no apologies for. I am 1 in 4.
When I lost Ella I had people literally cross the road to avoid talking to me. I found out who my true friends were. The friends who are happy for me to talk about Ella and will mention her name without fear of how that would make me feel.
(For reference it will always make me happy to hear people mention her name).
If you know someone who has lost a baby reach out to them. They will be feeling the most awful loneliness and your contact could just be what they need.
A simple "I'm so sorry..." will mean the world I promise.
For anyone local who passes my house I've lit pink and blue for #BLAW. Please share if you can 💜💙...You might just touch someone who you didn't realise had experienced this themselves. 😘
