1 and 2 here are not really doctors issues. And usually it is the frustration with 1 & 2 here that results in violence against doctors. But 3 is. We can write it off as a bad apple. Others have to be trained to develop it. Even if the vitals at the hospital were normal and assuming the doctor wasn't wiling to take on this pt because of limited beds, the manner of communication here is a problem. If you are a young doctor or med student reading this
don't react with "everyone is out to get doctors". To overcome the hole we find ourselves in (and yes it is a very real very deep hole) we have to change how we view and interact with patients. Yes ppl who Google come and behave like they know more than us but that behaviour
stems from a desire to be an active stakeholder in their disease management. Understand this impulse for a richer and safer doctor patient relationship.
