My dad is a huge music buff. I have always admired his huge stack of 70s and early 80s concert ticket stubs. Skynard, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen, Allman Brothers, etc. His influence is prevalent in my musical interests.

Throughout quarantine I discovered...
that it’s been really fun to try and “relive” my dad’s enviable experiences by looking up snippets of actual footage on YouTube. For instance, the May 4th, 1973 Led Zeppelin show at Fulton County Stadium—my dad’s first outdoor concert at the age of 16.
He lives quite a drive away. I don’t see him enough as it is, but COVID has really limited our time together. Exploring music of his youth that I now love and asking him to tell me his stories has been such a great way to connect in these rather dim times.
