After 2 counties discovered a glitch that left many senate candidates off the ballot, periodically, the vendor rushed changes through.
Experts say the review process was cursory, and the changes were substantive.
Testing for unintended consequences was not done.
The state put counties in a bind, rushing the unapproved software to them, with instructions to uninstall the certified software, effectively voiding the legally required certification.
That’s ok, said @GaSecofState , it only has to be certified when purchased, not when it’s used
Early in-person voting begins Monday, with 34,000 voting tablets across the state loaded with mystery software.
Did the rewrite solve the problem? Will @SenatorLoeffler and @ReverendWarnock appear every time.
