During med school, I performed the world’s first human fetal heart and human fetal kidney transplant using 11-0 microsutures smaller than the width of a human hair. I proved that the human heart can regenerate after left ventricular apical resection.

Then America ruined my life.
Senator Marsha Blackburn sent 2 armed US Marshals to my home in Nashville the morning after I spent all night helping gunshot victims as a general surgery intern. Vanderbilt told me to shut up but I chose to speak out on NPR because it felt so unjust. Then Vanderbilt retaliated.
They refused to renew my general surgery residency contract after my third year. They harassed me on social media falsely accusing me of rape, domestic violence, hit and run murder, and other outrageous claims without evidence and without due process. They made an example of me.
To now find out that Trump benefited from Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody cocktail that used the same fetal tissue that I used in my research is extremely disconcerting. There is no fairness in our country. No justice. There’s little difference between America and a dictatorship.
