There are a lot of rumors on social media. We are correcting the record:

1. FICTION: Jacob Blake Sr. was arrested on 10/8/2020.
FACT: Jacob Blake Sr. was NOT arrested on 10/8/2020

2. FICTION: Ms. Tracy Cole's arm was broken during an arrest on 10/8/2020.
FACT: Attorney Kimberley Motley stated in a press conference on 10/9/2020 that Ms. Tracy Cole's arm was NOT broken.

5. FICTION: The individuals arrested on 10/8 & in the early morning hours of 10/9 are still in custody.
FACT: They were cited and released. They are not still in custody.

On 10/8, members of the group blocked roads, drove on the wrong side of the road, and pointed a gun at an undercover law enforcement officer. These activities are not peaceful or lawful.

3. FICTION: Four members of the credentialed media were arrested.
FACT: Two individuals were arrested and they showed no press credentials at the time of their arrest.

4. FICTION: The Wisconsin National Guard made arrests in Wauwatosa.
FACT: The Wisconsin National Guard has been deployed in support of peace and order in Wauwatosa, but they have NOT been involved in any arrests.

6. FICTION: The overnight activity on 10/7 and 10/8 were peaceful protests.
FACT: On 10/7, members of the group broke windows at residences and businesses and threw rocks, bricks, and glass bottles at law enforcement.
