You know, I always hear from (what we classify as boomers) that the US could never render unto a strong State, but frankly I disagree. From what I'm sure not only I have experienced & you have too, many of the youth are fully susceptible to the idea of a Authoritarian government.
When I speak of Authoritarianism, I don't speak of Totalitarian but of the forms of government that repudiate the laziness and ineffectiveness of a weak system such as Democracy. Alas back to the point, while sure the youth can swing into other extremes, they seem more accepting-
towards more Authoritarian forms of government as opposed to boomers. What matters is you present them the proper argumentation. One can argue the same for boomers but they are merely oligarchical deadweight to a old ways of life in the modern era, they hold to this strong-
notion of Libertarianism; of less government, more privatization, individualistic, 'free-er the market, free-er the people' conceptions to life. While the youth are more open minded towards the change of a dead out of date system of the late XVIIth century/early XVIIIth century.
It is to this you must remember that the youth are the future, and that future you seek to strive for solely lies in the molding of the youth of the nation. It is to the early Junta in Spain we can reflect on this issue, Primo de Rivera pandered only to the old and did none for-
the foundation of the nation being the youth. When he died, he was regarded as 'the dictator that spilt no blood and whom died of failure and disease." When you don't invest into reconstructing the youth, you have no foundation towards the future nor legacy.
So what am I getting at? The future resides in how you carve it, anything is possible insofar there is a will.
As the classic saying goes "If there is a will, there's a way".
