Today is my last day as a @Chef employee. I have no interest in discussing the acquisition in any capacity. I& #39;m not interested in dissecting anything about the company specifically. But, I still find I have things I want to say!

I sitting was on the couch last night talking to @j_liz_henry and thinking, more than anything else, about all of the amazing people that are now in my life because of @chef. In fact there are entirely too many people to even be able to mention all of them in this thread.
The people who made up Chef Inc. gave me a chance. Some of them saw things in me that even today I& #39;m not sure I recognize in myself. Those same people challenged me, helped me grow, cared for me, gave me the chance to experience some things I might never have gotten to otherwise.
No human beings are perfect, and that goes double for companies (since companies shouldn& #39;t be treated like people) but my time here has had a profound effect on me. I& #39;ve met people and made friends all over the world. I& #39;ve given lectures at conferences on 3 continents.
I& #39;ve written code used by thousands of people. I& #39;ve made some of the best relationships with the most incredible human beings because of the folks that have been involved with Chef over the years and honestly, I would not trade that for anything.
Chances are if you worked at Chef and we ever spoke, if we ever slacked, I consider you to have made an indelible mark on me as a person and I& #39;m grateful for you. So, long @chef the experience has been invaluable.
