Dear fellow humans in Ontario:

We are in the grips of a huge emergency. One of the worst in history.

You will be thrown lots of info. One thing I'm qualified to do is offer you advice on sorting it.

🟣I suggest you focus on hearing your LOCAL Medical Officer of Health/PH team.
🟣AND the medical and scientific experts on major Canadian and local news outlets: Global News, City, CTV, CBC, CP24. CBCNN and CTV News Network. DAILY on each network.

Many of the same experts appear in *NEWS* articles: ie: Toronto Star, National Post, National Observer, Globe
🟣Local Medical Officers of Health tend to be strong, honest and consistent. And packed with useful immediate information to you.

They are the most independent officials of Ontario's public health system. The most likely to speak and act free of meddling politicians.
Local Medical Officers of Health, and the daily medical and science experts broadcast on major news outlets - and their academic counterparts at places like UofT's Dalla Lana (find them on twitter) prove over & over again to be reliable, consistent, clear, useful, easy to grasp.
You can trust them.

That's all you need:
*You don't have to listen to any of the press conferences except your local public health officials.

*Catch some of the expert interviews from news outlets once a day maybe?

(less impt but if you want, federal health officials too)
Unfortunately, I'd recommend avoiding provincial presentations from Premier Ford and his government including the provincial Chief Medical Officer of Health.

They are unreliable, inaccurate, inconsistent & confusing.

There is nothing you need they offer you can't hear locally.
Don't waste your time trying to follow their changing logic every day.

You will get needlessly confused & anxious when you can get all the science and health information you need from local sources. And experts/news media.

Free of drama/whatever is wrong with Queen's Park.
⚫Stay home. The virus is unleashed and out of control. Essential travel only as much as you can.

⚫ Wear a mask.

⚫ No gatherings this weekend for the holiday beyond your household.

⚫ No interactions beyond your household w/out a mask and *minimum* 2 meter plus distancing.

PS: I forgot. Another excellent source of info, a place to step away from all the noise.

Is The Agenda on TVO.

Highly recommend them for your pandemic news watching.
