I've seen more people attempt to sell Bitcoin as a tool to make the world fairer and bring about greater equality, as some form of social justice in technological form.

This is flawed thinking. Bitcoin is just money without centralized control, nothing more.
Bitcoin is brutal. People like me who were lucky enough to get involved early got their coins for just a few dollars, or mined them directly, or started businesses that grew large before other people even knew what Bitcoin was.
The majority of Bitcoins are held by <10,000 early adopters. Everyone else is slowly accumulating, struggling to even obtain 1 BTC. Nibbling away on the crumbs of a pie already eaten by those who got lucky early on, because they happened to be on the right corner of the internet.
Trying to fit Bitcoin into a social justice philosophy won't work, because Bitcoin is built on raw capitalism and economic incentives, rather than marxist fairy tales. Bitcoiners don't pretend Bitcoin is fair, they just try to help others get in before it's too late.
