- Where is the mind?

Let’s begin...

1st, where is the mind?

Short answer: We don’t know.

Some say the mind is generated by the brain, and this may be the case...

But I don’t think it’s the ONLY way the mind manifests.

I believe the mind may be more like a field.

The water we don’t know we’re swimming in...

Think about it like this:

Nature works in patterns.

The micro reflects the macro.

How does your physical brain work?

It’s a bunch of individual nodes (neurons) that share information through an electrical signal.

So would it be such a stretch to say that you are more like a neuron, plugged into some unseen field that we’re all apart of, constantly receiving and transferring information through that field?

No, I don’t think it would be.

There are some more obvious manifestations of this “field” that we can observe:

Verbal communication

Written communication

Facial expression

Body language

Even the internet

could be considered a physical representation of this otherwise non-physical field.

So, onto our 2nd question...

Do we project the mind, or connect to it?

I think the answer with the highest likelihood of being true, is both.

We have our own localized awareness, our personality, etc.

But then I believe there’s a collective “field” of awareness that penetrates all modes and forms of being, the foundational aspect of nature and reality...

In Hermetics, this is the first principal - Mentalism:

This is my favorite way to think about it:

Consciousness is like pure light

Each one of us is a prism, all cut and structured differently

We take this “light” & transmute it into “colors” unique to our own thoughts, feelings, expressions, experiences, etc

These “colors” then get projected back into the “field” - changing and evolving it as a result.

This makes the shared field of consciousness an ever shifting mosaic of infinite possibility and complexity.

Finally, this brings us to our last question...

What are ideas/where do they come from?

I think the process works like this:

1. The info comes to us through the field

2. The info is restructured by our own unique thoughts/feelings

3. The info is sent back into the field

This is why two people across the world with no prior communication can experience the same revelation.

This is why we’re able to absorb and then advance ideas & concepts that came before us.

This is why we’re able to connect seemingly unrelated information in unique ways.

And this is why we’re able to have the experience of thoughts coming “through” us but not “from” us.

I believe knowing how to connect with this field is the secret to genius.

Even the etymological root of the word genius suggests a force that works through us:

Are so powerful and effective in achieving personal & professional success.

When you commit to these practices, you’re effectively collapsing the infinite possibilities that exist within the field into your desired outcome and experience.

Man is made in the image and likeness of God because Man is able to create reality in the same way God does.

This is your greatest gift and power.

And now that you have awareness of this, you can never go back.

Your consciousness has been expanded forever.

Take this information, cultivate it, and use it to live a more beneficial existence for yourself and others.
