I'm getting some eerily similar vibes. And by vibes, I mean recurring nightmares...

I unlocked the shield thinking it was gonna be super wack. But really they got me out here like

To the surprise of absolutely no one, I made my deepest run when I just exploded armored enemies.

Current mood now after spending more keys than the entire D-block:

Salt: bow is bottom 1 weapon free. Holy crap is this thing actively unfun.

Editor's Note: it has come to my attention that the bow is indeed not bottom 1. However, much like One Piece, "it gets better later" seems to be the resounding sentiment. I'll report back in 72 game hours after I've farmed enough mats to make it passable.
