If BSchool is not treated as a placement office, you can learn a lot.

I learnt to enjoy economics, game theory, consumer behaviour, and finance all because of a great BSchool experience.

It's "disruptive" to write off the MBA as a waste but it can be transformative if used well
Philosophically, education should be free, although ironically some teachings are "priceless"

People try to "map" the cost of an MBA to the "job" they get. Truly measuring RoI for your education is fuzzy.

You never know where your learning might help you.
Perhaps the most invaluable education in business is running a company.

You can spend years without pay, trying to create value and make a dent in the universe. That cost can be immense, financially, emotionally, mentally.

Yet people who make the best use of this education win
No school can teach everyone how to think, learn, build, create. No system is perfect, and I am the first person to suggest changing them.

But resourceful people bring the best out of the systems around them.

Your experiences are what you make of it.
Education in India has largely remained in a bygone era, but there are some universities that have kept pace.

A lot of change has to happen at the earliest ages.

There's a lot to change, as we become a more advanced country.

But there's also a lot to be thankful for.
To change a system, you must first understand - and fully appreciate a system. It probably necessitates being part of it as well.
