i have a hot take regarding gay people in bushiroad games

i think bushiroad has moved beyond stuff like coding when it comes to lesbianism in their all-girl franchises and now adopt a strategy of "depict girls in relationships with each other, but in a way that allows homophobes and horny straight men to deliberately ignore it"

the reason im making this post is bc i feel like people waste too much time dwelling on whether or not media is actually depicting gay relationships. corporations are well aware that people arent always cis or straight by this point, and theyve already started marketing for it-

-in a way that doesnt necessarily alienate the bigoted half of their audience. and japanese media corporations arent an exception from this
