Sorry, I hate it. https://twitter.com/rachelholliday/status/1314580135350337536
Really not sure who thought that reversing the victim and offender here was a good idea but it’s not.
This commentary of the metoo movement feels actively hostile to me.
You put a fucking statue across from a courthouse and say it symbolizes the #metoo movement, and it makes me feel like absolute shit.
I didn’t cut off anyone’s head. I didn’t do anything except say what happened to me as calmly as possible.
I am not the fucking aggressor here, and it is stomach-churning to be cast in this role. Fuck off.
This is just a reiteration of women ruining men’s lives by being honest.

The statue is fine IMO but using it for this commentary feels horrific.

For no other crime do we say that witnesses truthfully recounting what they saw are ruining lives.
I realize 98% of the people who are replying aren’t reading the whole thread but:

1) I know the myth, thanks, you don’t need to explain sexual assault to me
2) I think the statue itself is fine, this is about it being used as a metoo commentary outside a courthouse
3) This statue directly reminds me of the people placing blame on me for coming out about sexual harassment in the judiciary, as if the harassment is somehow my fault.

WEINSTEIN IS THE CAUSE OF WEINSTEIN’S PROBLEMS.

Thank you.
