Friends, if we could have a moment of your time to read through this thread.

Since COVID-19 forced so many of us to withdraw from life as we recently knew it, we’ve noticed something interesting at Riverwood – a spike in the number of visitors on our trails and in our gardens.
With so many uncertainties surrounding us, people are seeking solace in nature, and we’re more than happy to provide it.

But because of COVID regulations, we haven’t been able to hold our usual events, including our largest fundraiser, the Riverwood Garden Soiree.
So even though our community is utilizing Riverwood more than ever, we now have fewer resources available to protect this treasured natural space.

We recently welcomed back a few of our wonderful volunteers, including Nadia, pictured in the first tweet of this thread.
Volunteers like Nadia play a big part in our conservation projects, which keep Riverwood healthy – and a healthy park gives our visitors a space to support their physical and mental health.
We need your help to keep our park, and our community, strong and healthy during a difficult time. Your donation will help keep our volunteers equipped, our trails safe, our gardens beautiful, and our wildlife habitat protected. Please give today at http://theriverwoodconservancy.org/protect .
As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, we feel grateful for all the support our community has given us in our pursuit to care for the environment. Thank you for being a part of the work we do, and the nature we keep alive in the heart of Mississauga.
