Deliveroo and Uber Eats take 30% of the restaurant’s money AND charge you a fee.
Do not use them.
Call your favourite places and order with them directly!
To add:
- at 30-35%, the restaurant is fulfilling that order at no profit or at a loss, places that end up relying on it won’t survive

- the 3rd party ordering platforms do not let restaurants charge more for menu items on their apps to compensate for % (a FAQ)
- They pool all business’ hard earned customers and use £Billions worth of algorithms etc to keep you using their app

- They do not give the restaurants the data on orders or who their customers are, this is v important for making decisions..
Which brings us to their long term plan..

- they’re now starting to use all the data they’ve taken from the restaurants’ customers to *create their own kitchens*, making the most popular dishes from each restaurant. Which they then *prioritise* in their app.

Avoid.
