Secret sin is killing my people, and performative Christianity is the real pandemic. Many would much rather be cosmetic with their faith and look the part to others, whilst secretly living in bondage to a lie, fully knowing what they say is not at work in their lives.
Hear me! You can fool people (visible), but you cannot fool the spiritual realm (invisible). Can we normalise being honest? God cannot heal a sickness that one pretends doesn’t exist, or deliver a captive that acts like they’re not imprisoned. Change begins with renouncing lies.
God desires truth in the inward parts (Ps. 51:6), and He is near to those who call upon Him in truth (Ps. 145:18). The problem is, many call unto God in bonafide lies, and this is why iniquity is sustained. This isn’t Broadway, this is the Kingdom of God. Stop acting!
This is not antithetical to the message of Grace, this is where grace begins (Rom. 5:20). Turning from sin, to the free gift of Christ’s righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21). You can’t walk in that free gift, if you refuse to acknowledge where you really are. Stop lying to fit in!
All over the world in Christendom, we are seeing many “come out”, renounce their faith in Christ, and embracing “their true self”. The truth is, it’s not their true self, it’s their years of bondage that were covered up; years of resisting the God’s truth and power accumulated.
COVID19 has shut down our festivals, clown shows, and religious performances, to show Christianity that the core of our practice must be true DISCIPLESHIP. Now you don’t have the smoke machines and LED screens, you’ve been faced with YOU. Stop hiding from God and His people.
For YEARS I have had to walk frontline MINISTERS & Saints through discipleship and deliverance from intensive and secret bondage, and I want to see this normalised in Christianity. There’s too much hidden iniquity, yet there’s so much freedom in Christ (2 Cor. 3:16-18; Gal. 5:1).
Social Media is pushing us to perform like Martha instead of being still like Mary (Luke 10:38-42). It’s okay to not be a known name for a season (and even a lifetime in some cases) to really deal with you. Can we normalise being ministered to BEFORE ministering to others?
There is an army rising up, but that army is not in bondage. What is done in secret will be revealed openly, you can’t hide for long (Luke 8:17). Faith is not a mask or a band aid, faith is a substance that changes worlds (Heb. 11:1-3). Stop lying in the name of “faith”.
God does not take pleasure in iniquity, He frees us from it (Ps. 5:4). You can’t serve the God of Truth (Ps. 31:5), whilst being the fruit of the Father of Lies (John 8:44). Who are you, when no one is looking? Be honest, repent, and be transformed openly. It’s possible.
