For years men both young and old from poor communities would be locked up for a "spliff" smearing their records and compromising their future. I am pleased to have been a leader in changing our laws to decriminalize ganja. #GoWithGolding #GrowWithGolding

As Minister of Justice, my team & I worked on 12 pieces of legislature to facilitate the then IMF programme. Allowing @DrPeterPhillips as Fin Minister to implement the Fund for the Economic Reform Programme. Subsequently this led Jamaica to ink a 4-year extended fund facility.

The decriminalisation of ganja was a landmark development in Jamaica. This award was a bonus and I am honoured to have been chosen. The work continues.. #GoWithGolding #GrowWithGolding
