Cold War BETA Sniping Tips: A Thread

Gonna comment a few things down below while at work that helps me and my buddies that might help you as well.

We Snipe only and thoroughly enjoy the beta without sweating to death every game regardless of SBMM

First and most important, PLAY IN A GROUP. If you go in solo or in twos SBMM will eat you alive. SBMM is way more lenient on groups of 4-6 people. Also with a larger group it’s easier to run the map the way you want it instead of hoping randoms do the same, helps map awareness

The snipers have aim assist but not the traditional aim assist we would have thought of. They have what would be comparable to the bo4 havelina but about 1/2 as strong, don’t drag and bank on AA to save you and try to center as much as possible

This is an easy one, don’t use the default tundra you will get beamed before you can even ads on the opponent

FOV: don’t go to high, tea it’s nice to be able to see more but don’t make everyone look like ants on the screen; will make centering almost impossible to the normal sniper. I run it at about 90-95

DO NOT TRY TO REVERSE BOOST, Treyarch has added a penalty for reverse boosting from what I’ve seen on twitter. It’s a waste of time and from what I’ve seen it will hurt you way more then it will help

Start on a lower sensitivity, as stated about the aim assist doesn’t help very much so fast sens drag shotting is a no go. Lower the sens and work on centering before trying to play like a crackhead on max sens missing every shot. Ngl personally I run 8-7 1x
