This is such an insidious line of thinking. I completely understand rural decline and yes, it does suck. However, there are plenty Black folks in poor rural communities that are not joining whole terrorist groups.

Radicalization is a caustic mixture of entitlement, racism, and anger. We have definitely seen middle class white men enact these type of behaviors and hold these beliefs.
