No it's not perfectly safe just cos you're still allowed to mill with other people a restaurants and the like. There's an element of risk with everything, it's about managing that risk so it's as low as possible. I'm not against going to venues like restaurants....
...I just don't like when people go about pretending it's completely fine to act as they did before the pandemic. Of course a socially distanced cafe is okay...but your risk is never zero. If we had a working tracking & testing system, strict social distancing enforcement..
You could get your risk pretty damn low but we DON'T. We have a deeply flawed system that is meant to keep you safe..that's all I'm saying. Think about that when you next feel the urge to tell someone who doesn't want to go to the pub every week that they're being silly
