A bit of rant from my side. I have been observing this. Whenever a temple is destroyed or attacked, or like today when a priest is killed in Rajasthan, Many right wing people or pro-hindu people give the following comments
1)Will Rahul Gandhi or Congress visit the priest's house?
2) Will Rajdeep, NDTV or India Today condemn today's incident
3) Sickular or This is Secularism
4)Tagging PMO, States CM's or CMO or BJp handles.
Then everyone moves on. Another similar incident happens, then the above 4 points as comments by pro-hindu people. The issue with this
that the pro-hindu people will keep on giving importance on what will be reaction of certain people when a incident like today in Rajasthan takes place but at the same today's incident or incident on attacking temples will keep on happening everyday and everybody will move on.Why
this obsession of others reaction or keep on emphasizing on Secular or Secularism? Is it going to solve the problem especially in the future or is it going to prevent any such incident regarding attack on priests and temples? So My suggestion is please dont think on what other's
reaction would be and stop over emphasizing on Secular Secular Secular.I would not want any such incident to take place at all.But God Forbid,if any similar incident takes place, then please pause for a minute and close your eyes and think the following things
1) What would be the
solution for that incident which I can offer and post it on Twitter like today's incident on Rajasthan
2) How I can personally contribute( For eg- if priests are not paid salaries in Govt controlled temples, who can do a Crowdcash campaign for these priests and how much I can
contribute)
This 2 points can actually help solve the problem or even prevent from any such horrible incident takes place especially at a time when the Hindu institutions and temple ecosystem is in absolute danger. Please think about it
