After last night’s #SPNFamily Zoom watch party (run by @mishacollins) - it’s clear to me why #Supernatural is my favorite show of all-time. I don’t need to wait for the finale to know this.

To be clear, my top 3 are:

3. X-Files
2. Lost
1. Supernatural
Now, all these shows have some supernatural element - but more importantly, the characters are central to the show. For every monster of the week episode (X-Files, Supernatural), there is meaningful story around characters. Lost, at it’s heart, was characters.
I wonder if X-Files would have been the “water cooler” show that Lost was if it was in it’s heyday at that time - and it may have been - but Supernatural...
Supernatural has not only been about characters, but the true embrace of characters by the fans AND their actors - to the point that a connection feels real. It’s helped by #socialmedia and technology - but there hasn’t been a fandom I experienced QUITE like it.
With only 6(?) episodes left, it’s sad to know it’s ending - but the show isn’t really ending with a rabid fan base like this. Based on comments from @jarpad on interviews - I get a sense we’ll see the Winchester brothers again one day, even after the finale wraps up 15 years.
Plus, we’ll always remember: Driver picks the music
