Alright finally taking the time to do the #31daysofHalloween challenge. I am doing it with a coworker this time and unlike next year I am sticking it in one thread.

1. Terminator- A buddy of mine suggested this film as horror and I had a bit of a back and forth but decided to give it a watch under the lens of horror. And wow does it work; an unrelenting killer whom only mission is to eliminate their victim by any means necessary.

While I had to take my “that didn’t age well” glasses off often enough I am still in awe of the iconic lines and set pieces that make this movie a classic. /

2. Cabin in the woods- This is always a fun romp. The casual arrangement of the main character deaths and the iconic elevator scene of course. Also the apathetic feeling to the world ending is always a mood. #31daysofHalloween

3. Pet Sematary- I went in with low expectations and not thinking much on it and it was surprisingly better than I expected. I was not expecting that ending. /

4. It came from the desert- So this movie is clearly inspired by B horror films. There are cheesy lines, dodgy special effects and just groan inducing acting all over it. I can appreciate a so it is bad as well as the next person but this was “meh”. /

5. Addams Family(2019)- So I have only known two versions of the Addams family; the 90s live action and the Saturday morning cartoon series. The new film basically combines aspects of both of these series which I appreciate. It was pretty cute. I give it /

6. The lodge- A petty peeve of mine is when people give a one step solution to speed up/stop the conclusion of a horror movie. The most interesting part is watching the entire journey from the characters actions so to speak. But this film is the poster child for the saying

“Kids, stay out of grown folks business”. /

I am not behind on the movies(much) but I am behind on the tweets.
#8. Halloween town- this was a fun nostalgic romp. Honestly other than some dodgy cgi and questionable practical effects this holds up pretty well. / #Halloweentown #31daysofHalloween

9. Resident Evil- I had to train myself out of thinking that it will be identical to the games instead it is in the same universe as the games. I wish it didn’t end on a cliffhanger that sets up a sequel but it was still pretty fun. /
