I’m Joel, and I’m running for YL Campaigns Officer! I’ve campaigned in 9 elections in the past two years, and was Exeter Uni’s Campaigns Officer through the intense months of 2019. I’ve learned a lot about how campaigns should work, and how to make them enjoyable to work in (1/6)

The 2019 GE was a chance to organize, and our little Uni society was able to seize it with both hands - I worked with other YL across Devon & Cornwall, and we went on 11 action days, turning out 18 people 54 times (2/6)

Throughout this, we could have really used the help and support of YL. We didn’t get it. I want to make sure that never happens again - to Rebuild YL so that it is proactively reaching out, guiding, equipping, and listening to campaigners on the ground. (3/6)

We need a YL that works. The whole future of the party - its thinkers, organizers, candidates and campaigners - is built on the foundation of a YL which is able to reach out and get people hooked on liberalism and trained in winning while they’re young. (4/6)
