every word is either a gendered dogwhistle or a straight up gendered insult:

insufferable = the fact that she takes up space dominated by men is hard to bear
power-hungry = women should not aspire to positions of power
smug = how dare she use her intellect to defend herself

and don't tell me that "power-hungry" isn't gendered. men are praised for seeking power, women are chastised for it.

I've recently had men tell me that (a) I shouldn't be allowed to vote (b) I'm an example of why sharia law is good and (c) I exemplify why women shouldn't govern

...and I am not even in a position of power, or seeking such a position! I am just a researcher and author on twitter.
