But we keep hearing from some places, “find another job.” Or “the economy is coming back”

Y’all, our people love this job. It is a career, requiring special skills, long hours, and incredible commitment. Theater, concerts, live events are integral to our culture, our way of being.

We are watching people struggle to make ends meet. Our industry is losing people to depression. People are looking for other work; some are changing careers. Some aren’t finding anything.

If you think we should “find something else,” spend a week without turning on your tv/listening to music. We know that the arts are what’s getting most of you through this time. DO NOT DISMISS US. Please.
