It's funny how whenever you express scepticism about a culture of sexual licence, pornography, and declining marriage etc, a bunch of blue tick nobodies decide to tell you that you don't 'really' care about the women who end up the victims. Patronising as well as offensive
Also, the only response these people have is 'men pre-sexual revolution did bad things'. The logic of this seems to be that because it is not possible to eliminate wicked behaviour entirely, one should pretend it's not immoral and welcome it openly and shamelessly
A certain % of men have always sought ways of indulging their wicked desires. Prostitutes, porn, a shameless double standard, mistresses etc - all utterly hypocritical practices. Why is it impossible to believe we might object to that AS WELL AS a culture of pretending it's ok?
My whole point is that male sexuality, without proper regulation & social controls to restrain it, is very destructive. The historical tendency to let men off the hook and see their 'lapses' from moral standards as excusable was vile. The solution wasn't to abolish all standards
