It& #39;s funny how whenever you express scepticism about a culture of sexual licence, pornography, and declining marriage etc, a bunch of blue tick nobodies decide to tell you that you don& #39;t & #39;really& #39; care about the women who end up the victims. Patronising as well as offensive
Also, the only response these people have is & #39;men pre-sexual revolution did bad things& #39;. The logic of this seems to be that because it is not possible to eliminate wicked behaviour entirely, one should pretend it& #39;s not immoral and welcome it openly and shamelessly
A certain % of men have always sought ways of indulging their wicked desires. Prostitutes, porn, a shameless double standard, mistresses etc - all utterly hypocritical practices. Why is it impossible to believe we might object to that AS WELL AS a culture of pretending it& #39;s ok?
My whole point is that male sexuality, without proper regulation & social controls to restrain it, is very destructive. The historical tendency to let men off the hook and see their & #39;lapses& #39; from moral standards as excusable was vile. The solution wasn& #39;t to abolish all standards
