My 1:1 therapist said at the beginning of our session that it had been brought to her attention I am an ‘active’ Twitter user and tweet lots of MH related things. I am curious as to why this was considered relevant, & who brought it to her attention. (1/3)
Yes, I tweet about my experiences of services - both good and bad. I also raise any concerns I have with the services directly where needed, as well as passing on praise when I have a good experience.

Are services/professionals really that scared of my comments? (2/3)
I won’t be made to feel anxious or worried about sharing my experiences. I won’t be silenced. I’ll keep being a voice for myself & others, & I’ll call out bad practice when I see it. I’ll also do this in a constructive & respectful manner. Equally, Twitter is MY place to vent (3)
This has really upset me. I feel continually singled out & my label as a ‘difficult’ & ‘manipulative’ patient is so unfair.

I just want to be respected as a human being, & I want to have the right, good-quality care. I want others to be respected and have the right care too.
Thank you all for your support. I’m really glad I’m not on my own with my discomfort at this, as I thought I may just be being slightly sensitive. So grateful for your comments!
