I'm still stuck on this Palestine thing tho.

I was raised Jewish. I went to Jewish youth camps. I learned how Jewish people had suffered, how they were given a Promised Land by G-d.

And I believed it. I believed we were "chosen", that Israel was ours by right.
But I grew up and started listening to other people. I became good friends with Muslim people, I saw what was happening to both Jews AND Palestinians.

I read the ways in which the Zionist Israeli government defended their actions.

And slowly, it stopped making sense.
Where was the love, compassion, and kindness I had been taught was at the heart of Judaism? Where was the wisdom? The generations of peaceful culture?

I began to distinguish between Judaism, and Zionism.

It's possible (and recommended) to criticise the Zionist state of Israel
without being anti-semitic. It's got little to do with the religion, and more to do with the belief.

The fact remains that Israel is stolen land. The fact is that it is an apartheid state, that oppresses its Palestinian citizens.

Palestine exists and should be freed.
