#TheAlbum era is different with Square Up and Kill This Love era. During SU and KTL (EP), they pushed and promoted both era with the lead single DDDD and KTL. Since The Album is their first ever Full Album, labels are more focus on the promotion of the album itself

They released 2 pre-singles, HYLT and Ice Cream. Both songs have different target audiences and market. HYLT was supposed to be for Korean audiences and charts and they did it with PAK and winning award shows in Korea. Surprisingly the song also did great outside Korea
Ice Cream was for exposure in US market and radios. Collaborate with one of the biggest name in US, Selena Gomez. As you can see, this song did well on BB and successfully turned radios attention toward BP. So its easier for US radios to play BP songs in the future
Lovesick Girls was not properly promoted because their main focus is for 'The Album'. If they want LSG to chart well in BB, they could have put digital copy on website and use other strategies to push on the single for charts
@BLACKPINK is not pushing for instant success. They want to show their quality of music and what they capable of
